I recently bought some redskin peanuts as i thought they were a healthy snack. When I looked and the nutritional information, it said the fat content was 70% of your daily recommended amount. Is this good or bad fat? I thought nuts (unsalted) were healthy.

Any answers much appreciated.

Thankyou. was getting worried about my new years resolution.
But you should be eating unsalted pistacchios, they are a superfood and help lower cholesteol.
What is your new years resolution?
I only started eating pistachios last year, they are very nice. However, I find that if you are eating them while watching a film or programme, then you don't actually see too much of it cos you're too busy trying to open the blighters.
Peanuts aren't nuts. They are beans, part of the legume family and are close to 50% fats
Yes, but they are good fats, like avocado and suchlike.
They do contain the good fats but they also contain a lot of calories so if you are watching your waistline, then eat in moderation.
If you are worried about eating too many, buy them still in their shells.

You will spend so long getting them out, you won't eat so many.
You should never eat more than a handful a day unless you are very thin and need to fatten up.
