Is it possible to make snow shoes out of old tennis rackets ?

Maybe... for a 5 year old, light weight child... the surface area of the stringed portion wouldn't be large enough to support any weight. Here, in the western U.S., we use the Michigan style (like this: and for some big guys, they may not be all that comfortable...

Woolfgang, a walkie talkie with two tin cans and some string? Are you a little on the posh side? We only had yogurt pots with string (cleaned, normally)
when I was a child there was no such thing as yoghurt sold in supermarkets....in fact there were no supermarkets.......
