Bloater....Is this a cryptic clue or an anagram?
Question Author
It's a cryptic clue
I'm pretty sure it will end in -thorpe. Possibly Felthorpe, but there are quite a lot of thorpes in Norfolk and another might fit the clue better
Could this have some reference to Nelson ? his birthplace was the lovely village of Burnham Thorpe.
Themelthorpe.
Those (them) ..the spanish (el) and as dzug says must end in thorpe... Hope with R..right in tho(r)pe.
You can check the name on Google..it does exist !!
I hope it is correct as I have just spent the last hour or so pouring over our local maps !

THEMELTHORPE....sooooooo closely fits except I don't see how the middle T fits into the cryptic.

Thanks everyone - I think Themelthorpe is probably right. That was the last question!!!
