How do I scan & save images on my iMac G5 computer? I've never done this before. The instruction book doesn't help. My combined printer/scanner/copier (Epson Styus CX6400) is connected to my computer via USB, and it prints OK, but the pathetic instructions don't help. My operating system is OS X Tiger, and the guide books to this don't help either. Unbelievable! I'm sure the procedure is dead simple - it needs to be if I'm going to do it! Please help. Thanks in anticipation of a rescuer.

I know next to nothing about Macs but with most software (irrespective of OS) you normally have to open an image manipulation program first. Then select 'File' and then 'Import'. If necessary, select your input device. Then the scanner's driver software should take over from there.

The drivers for your combo will certainly have included scanning software. Once this is loaded you will have in in your applications file. Open it up - it may prompt you to select a place for your files to be saved ( one of the options is "in a folder with todays date' - i find this works for me).
You should get a scan set up screen with a very obvious big button with SCAN on it.
Go through the motions - and the file should show up in a new folder - drag them into any folders you might have where you want to save your scans.
Does that make sense?
Its really easy trust me - get back if this doesnt make any sense.
