Hi, what in your opinion is the best way to obtain tickets for the theme parks, not only Disney but Epcot, universal and so on.
Me, the wife and 2 kids are looking at going for a fortnight this year, I can't imagine we would want to go to a park everyday, perhaps 3 maybe 4 in a week?
Your advice will be very much appreciated?

Epcot is Disney.
Try to buy a week pass or a two week pass as they work out MUCH cheaper. The cost to get in a park for a day is so high it pays to get a week pass or two week pass.
And note that the "theme parks" so differ a lot, so Disney have their theme park but also their water parks, and their animla parks, so if you roate the type of park you go to you get a lot of variation.
And dont go in summer to Orlando (July August). It is really hot and humid and walking round a park or standing i na queue in that heat is awful.
We went in February a couple of years ago and the weather was lovely, in the 70s and low 80s, and we wore tshirt and shorts and were playing crazy golf outdoors at 9pm at night in those clothes.
February is a great time to go.

If you have not been to Orlando before then buy the book called "Brit guide to Orlando". This will only cost you about £10 from Amazon, but could easily save you much more than that with their advice, plus their suggestions will help you have a better holiday.

You do not say if you have been to Orlando before or not, but if you have not think very carefully about WHEN you go, but also WHERE you stay.
The theme parks are spread out quite widely and getting to the theme parks can be difficult if you are staying in a remote rented house, or a hotel some distance from the various parks.
For example the Disney complex is HUGE, about the size of Manchester, with the various parks (and hotels) spread all over the site. There are major roads linking them all together.
Without a car it can be difficult and time consuming getting from the place where you are staying to one of the theme parks so as I said think carefully where you stay and how you plan to get about.
Some hotels do offer shuttle buses to the parks, but that can mean a lot of queueing and waiting around, so having you own car can make the holiday so much better.
The area called International Drive tends to be centre of the theme parks area, with lots of hotels and places to eat, but even these are some distance from the Disney parks.
The Universal parks are nearer to International Drive, but even they are not walking distance, though a bus does run up and down international drive.
There are loads of Orlando "advice" sites on the internet if you want answers to specific questions.

Hi ruge! We used to go every summer in July or August when we were kids. The heat and humidity was never a problem and the queues are so well-managed they go so quick. We used to go to all the parks (Animal Kingdom wasn't there when we went) every second day and we managed to see everything. We would spend 10 days at Disney and then 7 days in Clearwater (so Mum and Dad could have a wee break! lol) We always bought our tickets through the hotel we were staying in. I'm not sure if (these days) you still get good deals through the hotels. It might be worth contacting them and asking what their prices are. xx
If you do hire a car bear in mind the cost of parking, last time I was there is was around $15.00 per day, Seaworld (highly recommended) is on the bus route from International Drive but I have to agree about the heat, the queues can be horrendous made all the worse if it is 85/90 degrees, I have been twice, once in Dec and once November the weather was lovely, and the parks reasonably quiet. There are lots of Orlando research pages online, best wishes and enjoy your trip. (keep lots of low denomination currency if you are going to use the buses as they don't give change!)
