how do you store yours? I buy bag fulls a time and usually put them in fridge in a big bowl, they stay fresh ages and its usually weeks before they start drying out and even longer before they start getting black spots on.....

last time i bought them a mate advised not to put them in fridge so i left them on the worktop in a bowl and they started drying out straight away (i like them unwrinkly lol) so im guessing they arent gonna last so long there....

i dont fancy freezing them but i do have a pantry thats dark, cool and has a big stone shelf that seems to keep things fresh longer, whats best place anyone? thanks

Hello :-)

I keep them in the fridge for a while and then freeze any I haven't used. They are easy to chop from frozen as well.
I freeze mine and there is no problem with them and you can still use them from frozen. If you don't want to freeze them I would think the pantry would be the best place. They sweat in the fridge and go off quicker. You can also tie them together with thread and hang them somewhere so they dry out completely.
freeze or dry them, i would go for
i thought chillies like cool, dark, dry storage? We had a large delivery of ghost nagas today! Curry tonight, I think!

hi vodka, mine seem to last ages in fridge, couple of months before i notice they are getting black spots on (and i can still use them if its not too bad), hanging up is a nice idea too :)

Well, whilst everyone else is bored with turkey, I got a couple of the birds at bargain price from the supermarket trying to sell through their Christmas stock (use by end of 2013, so I think I'm safe!). So it's turkey curry tonight, tomorrow, and the next day.....
