Need to buy some Plaster Board but it seems that none of the usual suppliers will deliver. These are big sheets, so how on earth are we supposed to be able to get them home. No, we do not have any friends with a car, van. Wickes want 25.00 for delivery, B & Q do not do home delivery for these. Any ideas of where we could get them, that will not rip us off and will deliver for a sensible price would be welcome. We live in Twickenham.

Go to a builers merchants like Travis Perkins. If not look around your neighbour hood and see if there any builers working near by. The cost of a pint this side of Christmas.
Wickes, Jewson, Travis Perkins all deliver or at least did last time I needed any (last year)
Definitely a Builders' Merchants scraggy. Bear in mind that they deliver to your door. They're really not obliged to carry them upstairs, or any great distance.
The sheets are usually 2400 x 1200mm (approx 8'x4'). If you'd like something a little easier to handle, try the 1800 x 900mm (6'x3')
Probably cheaper from a builders merchant too. Lordy, how I miss my old Ford Cortina Estate car. A sheet of 8' x 4' slid comfortably into the back. Tell me of a family car that can do that today!
Ph1 Volvo V70 estate - not the newer ph2 or3 though, the load space is shorter and narrower.!
Tell me of a family car that can do that today!
