Hi, I keep getting a message via my free AVG software telling me my laptop is infected by the above Trojan. I read ths is an AVG problem so I uninstalled AVG and installed Avast instead. The system scan did not reveal any Trojans, so I assume all is well. Is this the case or could this Trojan still be hidden on my laptop.

Thanks methyl, that is helpful.
You could also download and install the FREE SuperAntiSpyware program and run that to find your Trojan.
Incidentally, I've used the FREE Avast A/V program for more than 12 years and haven't been let down once yet, touch wood!!
