Does anyone know if you can use 2 different makes of Powerline network adapters to create one network? I have 2 On Networks Powerline 200 Home Network Adapters and 2 TP-LINK 200 Adapters. It was a mistake on my part ordering 2 different makes from Currys.

You probably can, but you'd have to use them in pairs, so

One of each connected to your router and one of each connected to each of the two devices you want to link up.
Is that right Chuck? This website suggests that there are common standards and different manufacturers should work fine together

It's one of those things where they should in theory all work together, but it's not always the case in practice. especially if they are different versions of the standard (if they are the whole lot will run at the speed of the slowest version). it can also be tricky on some of them to change the pairing key they come factory supplied with, which would be required to make them work together.
I have three different brands of 200 rated powerline kit - including a netgear four socket adapter and an edimax wifi repeater - all working cheerfully together ...

Thank you all it's greatly appreciated I will give it a go and see if I can get them to work together. If not I will use them in the 2 pairs.
Powerline networking is a dead technology. Suppliers stuck with stock can't even give them away.
It may be 'dead', but it works pretty well - definitely better than chasing a free wifi channel in many homes in the UK
they can give them away to me beso
