I just came across this idea for a birdfeeder, and think it's very cute, but I'm wondering about the practicality.

I'd love to have a go at making one, but I can see it would be very fragile, and could probably be trashed by squirrels or magpies. But I'm so tempted. What you think?

Hi, I think it would work but the problem I see is it would fill with rain and need cleaning pretty often.. cute idea though.

Go for it Kiki....looks fantastic. May steal the idea. A whole collection of quirky cups and saucers would look great. Birds won't damage it but squirrels will damage anything won't they. Tell me if you make one. x
Little brollies? :-)

Right, I'm off down the charity shops today to find a cup and saucer.
i think you should ponder it over a cuppa......see if anything occurs to you.......:-)
Drilling a few small holes through cup and saucer should sort out the rain problem.
So simple and So pretty.
