So he comes here, we open our arms to help and we are repaid by his lies and irresponsibility "admitted fraudulently claiming to have held a full UK driving licence for 10 years, driving with no insurance and with excess alcohol" culminating in the death of a British woman.

And what do we do, 8 years (out i 4 no doubt) and I can't see any mention of booting him out?

Now why would that be I wonder?

Come on Cameron, sort this out.

//culminating in the death of a British woman. //

Thats dreadful ! A *British* woman you say?

Not another foreigner that wouldn't have been so bad
Cannot for the life of me understand why you are so sarcastic jtp - I read the post as the accident took place in this country and involved a british woman - what on earth is wrong with that?
Asylumn seekers who commit a criminal act should be sent home not jailed at our expense
only two years for killing non-Brits. Christmas bonus for killing other asylum seekers.

Come on Cameron, you know it's right.

Extreme right.
@Brenden

its JTP's favourite pastime, in fact hes turned it from an artform to a science
perhaps the post is a little hyper, but the sentiment is there, another one we will have to keep at the taxpayers expense, couldn't they do the time in the country of birth, they wouldn't get so well treated perhaps. He should be deported after sentence,
I have a suggestion.
When an individual who does not hold British nationality is convicted of a crime, why can they not be given the option of being deported to any country who will have them rather than serving a prison term? Then to prevent them getting back in, we'll put a hidden microchip under their skin so they can be identified as "persona non grata" if they try to return.
I wonder what option they'd choose?
Caused death by dangerous driving.

Convicted of drunk driving previously.

Caught driving while disqualified three times.

Driving without insurance.

Driving while almost twice over the 'drink limit'.

Did he realise he was doing wrong - or even did he care?
mammar seems a good point but doubt the court of human rights would go for the microchip.. they do it to animals though..
I'm still trying to come to an understanding of the human rights of the girl's parents who have no real justice for the death of their daughter.
Did this man not dilute his right to human rights when he persistently broke our laws?
chip him!
chip him or not the poor lass is dead, i would say a mandatory 15 years in prison for this, not eight years.
out in under 4 years and benefits for the rest of his rotten life, a legal aid shark will defend his hooman rights and we will be stuck with the scumbag.
I'm not a betting man but I'll put a tenner on him never being deported.
Em I agree. But, as was mentioned, he's likely to be out in 4 years and has many years of bad driving in front of him. I would rather he drove in a different country.
That sounds awful, I know, but how else do we "punish" this sort of criminal who apparently does not choose to obey the laws of this or, possibly, any other country?
make them serve their sentences, the full term in the country of origin.
Yep, Em. I'll go for that.
But chip 'em as well so they can't come back here
would go against all principles of human rights i'm afraid, though i am coming around to your way of thinking.
em, how do you make someone serve a sentence in another country?

Here's a criminal who's going to be sent home to complete hs sentence

http://www.telegraph....-be-allowed-home.html

Do you think he will?
there must be reciprocal arrangements surely. And the person serves their time here, at massive cost, what then, gets to stay as they fear repercussions if sent home, what a load of baloney.
