My daughter and family went to Gran Canaria for a holiday a few weeks ago.. Whilst there my granddaughter ,10. had a henna tattoo. But now after three weeks although the tattoo has long gone,my granddaughter still has the outline pattern of the tattoo on her arm. and it is raised she also says it is itchy. Has anyone else had this problem? and is there anything we can put on it.?

I had one as a kid and it lasted a remarkable 4 or 5 weeks, where as my mates' had gone within 2 weeks. It faded obviously but the outline was the last area to be visible, Didnt itch though?
sounds like she might be sensitive to something used in the tattoo. Any antihistamine cream or anti histamine tablet suitable for children should help....no more henna tatts though!
Was it black henna? If so it seems like she had an allergic reaction to it which means she will never be able to have her hair dyed.

Whatever it was......hydrocortisone ointment 1% applied 3 times daily should sort the problem out for her.
