Great grandaughter is 12 days old, no name yet. Her mum is looking for a soft, girlish name, but it must be unusual. Question is, could we make up a name ourselves? is it acceptable to do that, or is there a list of names somewhere that must be adhered to? parents names are john and jodie, their 20 month old son is Jaxson. do you have any ideas? I am fed up with calling her "baby".
thanks,
Percy. ( not my real name, I couldn't dare mention it in public)

If you take the first to letters of the parents name you get Jojo, I quite like that.
Sorry I meant 'two'
pp, let us know when it's decided. What about Jemimah or Jadine?
You might have already said this somewhere but why does it have to start with a J?
Jorja is lovely, if you're staying on the J theme, then Jessie is nice too. If I have a little girl now I'd call her Kika or Lucia I think.
Could call her anything if you want but remember she will have this name for life! No law or set list of names (look at some of these celebrity baby names!!).
12 days is a long time not to name her, "baby" must be getting annoying!!
