Ladies - opinions please

There's a guy comes into my work every day and sits for a few hours. He usually chats away to mr mac who is currently off ill - which this guy knows. Last week he made a comment about the top I'd worn the day before and how it really suited me etc, I made some daft joke about it and that was that. Today he hovered near the counter till I was alone and then came up to tell me the last time I'd been in I had been looking stunning and went on for a bit about my hair. Again I made a joke. He then sat opposite the counter for an hour or so till I was alone again and then came up to tell me he thought I was gorgeous.

If you had been in my position, how would you have felt and what would you have done?
