Mr mac had a heart attack early this morning. He's ok, but he's been transferred to a hospital miles away. So after spending most of the day at the local hospital with him, I'm now back home and don't know what to do. I've tidied up and stuff, but I feel a bit useless now. My parents, who I'd normally have for support, are on holiday and won't be back till late tomorrow. I think it's gonna be a long night :-(

Don't pick up any individual answer, there are so many good ones, karen. The key thing is that Mr Mac is ok - and then that you are, and in a position to support him. Part of the strength of ABers is getting behind folk with such "situations" and long may that continue.
For the bickering that goes on on here I agree with DT, just post at any time and someone will be here for you. Try and get some rest (nigh on impossible I expect), Mr M will need you in top fighting form when he gets home.
Sleep well karen, I'm saying a special little prayer for you and Mr Mac, God bless x

Och you're all that nice! I sometimes get fed up with all the bickering and think I'm going to stop coming on, but it means so much to have support when it's needed. I suppose it's like a big extended family in some ways - they drive you mad but they're there when it counts. Thank you x
get yourself a good night's sleep (easy said, I know) and the worst will be over
