Hi,
Anone know how i can report sellers of stolen BT/openreach goods on ebay?
I have just gone back to selling on ebay, and was aghast at the amount of sellers selling what can only be stolen goods. ( I.E. cheaper than net cost price from manufacturer, open reach branded goods, etc). I sent two of them an email informing them that BT were investigating stolen goods on ebay, and if they had no receipts, to be careful. both thanked me and removed their goods.
But, I cannot email a 100 plus sellers, BT should investigate, but I cannot find a way of getting in touch with their investigation branch. Any ideas??

You can be sure that BT, eBay and other agencies monitor the listings.

I would expect the majority of those BT listings to be fakes.
what sort of thing are they selling?

Hi,
Telephone sockets with open reach logo, which, I have been informed by openreach, are available to engineers only, so any for sale anywhere can be regarded as stolen, also cable, i have just purchased a roll of from the manufacturer, and find it is being sold at a quarter of the price, and some items that no one would ever buy to sell on ebay, specialist stuff that only openreach would use, I am an ex-BT engineer, and can recognise the dodgy goods a mile off, trouble is, this sort of illegal selling is putting the genuine honest sellers out of business.
I was at a recent (repitable) auction where all sorts of BT stuff was for sale so they may have picked it up here (not necessarily stolen).

They often have out of date stuf like this. Just a thought.
eBay monitoring listings?
LOL LOL LOL
They don;t, they cant even sort out the shill bidders or the fake goods so monitoring stolen goods listings wont be high on their list either

How do you know the items are stolen anyway? Where are the sellers located?

The listings are far more likely to be for non existent items 'selling' simply for the monies rather than actual, real items stolen because too many foolish people are parted with their dosh
No way do ebay monitor listings. They will only investigate if you report each listing
