.......take 2 - 3 months to reduce there prices after announcing cheaper fuel prices and......1 week to increase them after announcing last week fuel was going up.

I received a letter yesterday from Npower informing me my gas and electric would be increasing by 9.4%
I am now waiting to see how much they want to increase my direct debit, pretty sure it will be more than that until I ring to question it?

What fun sitting here with my coat around my shoulders just in case the fuel prices go up yet again. When should I turn the CH on? Only to heat 1 room.
They reduce prices ?????
Luckily I'm with Eon now and they have said they are not increasing theirs this year...thats a first! But totally agree, it always seems they will to put prices up immediately but when (and if) they go down it takes months to come into effect, though never goes down enough. Just as a footnote, did you know if you are in credit or you don't agree with their DD increase, you can call them and ask them to reduce it. 9 out of 10 times they do, the increases are all done by computer automatically and if you call them they will work out your actual usage and adjust accordingly. You will need to supply your current meter reading when you call them. Good luck

mustang,

Sorry for the delay.

Have done what you suggest before and lo and behold they reduce it. As I say
i'm waiting to see how much the dd goes up as I know what it should be with a 9.4% rise.
