placing adverts in a playlist

Is there a simple way of putting an advert (ie a specific music file) into a playlist so that it plays after every 3 songs?

Just an idea... You can perhaps number your songs (1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9.... etc). Then make copies of the advert and number each 4, 8, 12, etc. so that it will play after every 3rd song. It should work if your player plays the songs from number 1 and not randomly.

Thanks, will probably work but not overly practical as have around 200 to rename :(
