I am owed a debt of £5,800 by a so called friend, the action in court failed for
various reasons not attributed to me,can I now sell the debt on and if so what company is likely to buy it.?
I am aware that I will only get a fraction back of the sum owed if i do sell the debt on.

I'm wondering why would you want to sell it on.
Why did it fail? It is relevant as it might tell us what the chances are of money being recovered.
do you have proof of the loan/agreement? if not, no recovery service will touch it with a bargepole. why did the court action fail?
Redfalcon has added this info on a new thread:

"Sorry messed up my reply,a so called friend owes me £5,800,there is no written agreement only cheques that were written out to her and a verbal promise in front of her solicitor at the time who has since retired."
Can you tell us what you mean when you say the court action failed for various reasons not attributed to you?

It failed as I had to speak on my own behalf and the person employed by me failed to disclose this at the time they were employed by me and I was unprepared.
