Thyroid test

My mom has an under active thyroid and I suspect I have some symptoms, nothing serious though. Is it OK to just ask my GP for a test or do I have to be seriously ill?

chatty....if you have symptoms which lead you to believe that. like your mother. you have an under-active thyroid, then see your GP for a blood test.
