March this year the police knock at there home address asking do they own ---- property they explained yes and its rent out. They were informed that there was drugs at the rented property and were going to search her home address, she and her husband ask why asked for warrant they said they did not need one and continue to search they said I they sign statement saying it was it there drugs it would be better for them and threatening them to arrest other members of her family. They are Chinese with not good English and never been in trouble with the police
The police then removed there computer money and bank statement etc. her husband got annoyed and said if they were going to arrest them do it with that they handcuffed him and kept him in the police station all night. They have finger printed them They have been on bail since March l asked what charges and they don’t know .The police keep turning up at their home one evening they came home to find 10 police cars
. I asked about solicitor and they said he is writing to them soon. L think they have only just got this solicitor. this is urgent l told them change there solicitor would this be the correct thing to do

Is it not unusual for the police to just turn up to search a property with warrant in hand unless there had been some good intelligence, though i may watch too much tele, oh and the belonging is their, the place is there. tell them not to change their solicitor but they could use the money earned from renting the other house out to pay the legal expenses
he is writing to who? Who is "he"?

This is what I think happened.
A Chinese landlord who can not speak English very well has several properties that he rents out. One of the properties has tenants who are drug dealing.
The police arrive at the landlords house and search it for drugs , the police remove the landlords cash, computer and bank statements . They also arrest the landlord and after taking him to the police station and charging him , he is released on bail. Due to his poor English the landlord does not know what he is charged with. Since this happened the police keep coming to the landlords house and one time there were 10 police cars involved.
They have just got a solicitor who is going to write to the landlord 'soon'
The questioner is asking if the correct thing to do would be to get a diffrent solicitor urgently.
I have to say YES get another solicitor as soon as possible. Try to find one who speaks Chinese of get an interpreter as well !
