OK, its not in this country - yet. but why are royals 'promoting' Islam?

And will our Embassies now be attacked when they find out she had her jugs displayed all over the Internet?

Just does not seem right to me.

Are you referring to these photos?

Sorry if they are not the photos you expected folks.
I think it is traditional (and good manners) as a guest to respect the customs of one's hosts as far as they don't conflict with one's own values.

The royals are pretty good - and well practised - at treading that line.
Maybe a little pandering wouldn't do any harm!
She looks quite beautiful in those photos.

And is it really 'pandering'? Not sure...perhaps just showing respect?
Congratulations on a truly offensive turn of phrase in the OP..............
So the Queen is in trouble when she wears the veil in front of the Pope........

Please, how daft is the above.
How do you pamper to someone/something, surely you mean pander?
The Royal couple are simply observing protocol when being shown around sites in an Islamic country. It is good manners rather than 'pampering' (which I think really ought to be 'pandering').
That's hardly pandering, it's being respectful to another culture. Of course they should.

And no, the photos are nothing to do with religion.
are the pics on the net yet ? :)
Yes, Anne.
No, they shouldn't be 'pampering' to Islam. But they should be showing respect to the culture of the nations that they visit. Which is what they are doing, so that's OK then.

So, as the OP suggested, pandering to Islam

I'm sure the royals must cringe every time they have to put fancy dress on
perhaps not, but i guess as some would say when in Rome .....
And we are 'promoting' or 'pampering to' (?) Islam when we remove our shoes on entering their religious buildings or to the Jews when we, as men, wear a 'skull cap' on entering the Holocaust museum or a synagogue, are we?

Youngmafbog, you're a great loss to the diplomatic service ! Is it just Muslims and this one country that you would be set upon insulting or do you have it in mind to insult any country and any faith? You make it sound as though they were promoting or 'pampering to' the Taleban or al Qaeda; perhaps you can't tell the difference between those and an Islamic country or culture.

I think even Muslim women bare the breasts in private. What do you think?
