Can't Download IPlayer desktop

Hi folks. I'm trying to download BBC IPlayer Desktop so I can watch BBC programs offline. However, whenever I try to download the Adobe AIR, it gets about half way through the download when I get an error message and the screen reverts to the screen shot of the programme I'm trying to download.

am using a Samsung Netbook, Win 7 Starter, AVG Free and Windows Firewall.

Any help appreciated.
