For six weeks I've had numbness and muscle spasms in both legs
Seen specialist and had an MRI the result is I have compression in the nerves in the spine ,not bad enough for an operation so he wiil get me into a pain clinic for an injection in the spine ,
Can anyone tell me if there is anything I can do to help with this problem apart from strong pain relief as the pain clinic has a 10 week plus waiting list

A chiropractor could help. I had trouble, and a lot of pain, with 2 'slipped discs' and the woman I saw helped me.
Not much of a service is it...10 weeks wait for pain relief?

My suggestion would be to take Ibuprofen 600mgms up to every 6 hours if and when necessary.

Good luck.

Thank you both for your replies , and Sqad the doctor has given me tramadol and a muscle relaxer to keep me going
And Sandy I'm abit worried about going to chiropractors, silly I know
But thank you again for your advice
Tramadol and a muscle relaxant is excellent therapy.
Please get yourself to a good reputable osteopath or physiotherapist. They can help and can also recommend really good exercises which will help you with the compression. I speak from experience.
I am taking Mobil and a muscle relaxant at present (Baclofen) and it is really helping.
