Electric oven temperatures

On moving into a flat I have inherited a Neff double oven (separate grill) - it's probably 20+ years old with no instruction booklet. Not being used to electric cooking, I am having problems with the oven temps. The main oven is fan but the lower one (with grill) is not. The fan oven dial goes from 50 to 200 and the lower non fan from 50 to 250. Can anyone convert these to gas for me? I do know that fan ovens operate at a lower temp but can't make much sense of the two ovens' temps. HELP.

Thank you but the temps on the chart don't seem to relate to my oven given that the fan starts at 50-200 and the non fan 50-250. Presumin both ovens should be capable of 1/4 to 9, it doesn't work out.
It works out perfectly well. Consider 50C as a warming oven temperature.
"Presumin both ovens should be capable of 1/4 to 9, it doesn't work out."

Yes it does work out, both electric ovens can do the equivalent of 1/4 and a little bit less too.

Thank you - but I'm still confused as the highest the fan oven goes is 200 which only seems to equate with gas mark 7. Am I correct on this? Unfortunately the flat is all electric so I will have to cope.
Are you sure the knob stops at 200, or does it go past it?... it may be that some of the numbers have worn off (quite common on Neff ovens)

What's the model number of the oven?
It's very unusual to use a fan oven at more than 200 degrees
You usually cook stuff in a fan oven at a lower temperature to a conventional oven.
^ true...

Mine goes up to 225 on the dial, but I don't think I've ever used it above 200.

Also, electric fan ovens are far better than gas ovens once you get used to them.

Thanks for all your comments but I'm still not clear if 200 is the equivalent of 7 as per the chart or 9. There is quite a difference between 7 and 9 on a gas cooker. Thanks
What's the model number of the oven?
200 on my electric oven is equialent to GM6

Oh dear! Marval and Bedknobs have added more different conversions into the mix. It's difficult to read the info on the info plate ChuckFickens, as it's in the area where the lower oven hinges down. I'll try and make out the model number tomorrow in better light. The reason I was trying to get precise info is that I have three guests coming on Saturday and I was planning to use the oven. Up util now I have not worried too much about the exact temp when cooking, but I wanted to cook something where I needed to be more precise with temp. If all else fails, we could always get fish and chips!!
i suppose than a fan oven probably is a little hotter, so is probably more like GM7. I prefer to do a straight conversion (GM6) but just do whatever it is for less time

Thank you one and all - I've decided life's too short to over worry on this! I'm going to work around ChuckFickens' conversion chart and hope for the best. I'm sure I'll get used to it - the solid plate hob is another matter!!
