buildings insurance for buy to let on sole property

we are finding it difficult to find a company that will give us buidings insurance on our buy to let property. we currently live abroad and have a house in the uk that we rent out. we are told that as we dont have our main buildings insurance with them on our own property (that we dont have!) that they cant insure us for our buy to let. wondered if anyone knew who could provide us with this and if you have had a similar problem.

thanks for that, just got a quote but very expensive. almost double what we normally paid but that was cos we had our main house insurance with em before.so any more companies that you know of would be welcome.
