hello
thinking of updating my old pc to give to a friend to use.
at mo its got 3 gb ram,would i see any noticeable speed increase if i gave it another1gb .4 being its max: on this pc ,its good now but could i make it even better?
it has 2x1gb and 2x512mbs now.
nvidia card has 512mb.
its running win7 ultimate 64bit.
hard drive is 230gb
processor is Pentium 4 3.20ghz
or would it not be worth the cost
its only used for surfing and photos .BBC I player /you tube

Almost certainly not, especially not for what it's being used for

(win7 ultimate sounds like is was a bit of overkill BTW)

it was a present chuck personally i would have stuck with xp
