I went to the boxing, drove straight there and parked, no traffic problems impecable organisation couldn't fault it, even the securuty was smooth and swift, great day out. My only complaint is cooking lager at £4.60, still only slightly dearer than Twickers! What are your experiences?

who the hell are you? don't tell me what to do you moronic little sh!t, I don't go into chatterbank and this is the biggest news story at the moment so it's in news.
O' dear, you are an angry man.
Surprised ! After all the negative stories about transport and queues at security, emergency staff and all, I went to weightlifting and found everything perfect, no queues, the Javelin train from St Pancras International to Stratford International took six minutes, there was no trouble getting over to the Excel, the venue was well equipped with food stalls, the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
Yesterday, allegedly a really busy day, I was at the hockey in the main Olympic venue. Just as good as before, the train was busier but the delays because of queue control were only slight. And security? Noticed that there were dozens and dozens of spare checkpoints, manned ready but not in use, just in case of far greater demand. Can't see there'll be any delay there, however busy it gets. The only slight problem at the stadium itself was one familiar to soccer fans; the half-time interval was not long enough to grab food from the nearby stands and get back in time. But it's only ten minutes in hockey, and the slowest wouldn't have missed more than a minute or two.

so have you been mick?
No I haven't been. I could complain that it is too London focused but I won't.

I have my 42 inch telly, the kids 22 inch portable at the side of that the desktop computer and a laptop all running in the same room, so I don't miss a thing.

As for the boxing, there has been far too many dodgy results once again.
We were lucky enough to get tickets for the rowing, we saw the first gold medal, it was a amazing day and the organisation that we saw was very good. The Park and Ride at Braywick was well signed and the buses which took us to the venue were, I think, new. There was then a fair hike across Windsor race course to the venue, security took us only a couple of minutes. There were long queues for the food stands, the costs were no different than other major sporting venues. The loos were amazing, many supermarket loos are not as clean or well kept, and there were loads of them, I never queued behind more than 3 people, at the female loos too! As far as the costs, we paid £50 each for seat in the stands, last year I paid £150 each for Silverstone, General admission, no seat. I think the £50 was very good value for this event.
My pal went to two days of the table tennis
Everything ran like clockwork she said
I wish I'd been a little less anti now and seen if I could have done something for it
Why were you anti ric.ror? and what changed your mind?
Went to the hockey, train to St Pancras, changed to javelin train, no problems.
I must say the "games makers" really did make the games, all smiles and helpfulness.
Too London centric I thought
I had always intended to see open and close ceremony
But it seems to have captured the whole nation
And the atmosphere seems to come through well on tv
Loved the rowing and some of the cycling
Really looking forward to usain bolt too
can anyone who's been tell me if cameras are allowed in?

I even have a Panasonic and they are sponsors...

well I saw loads of Cameras, I took a load of pictures on my phone.
I'll be taking mine - just wondered if the security freaks would confiscate it and throw it into the Lea.
The games are London centric because they were awarded to the city of London NOT the UK. The olympic games are awarded to cities not nations. Also, the host city must stage as many events as possible in the olympic park and the surrounding area.
I'm going to the Para 0lympics in September. To be honest I only got tickets as I wanted to experience the stadium, we live 20 minutes away by train and have watched the stadium being built [and Westfield woo hoo]. But now I'm really looking forward to it and it only cost me £25 for two tickets [daughter in under 16].

Managed to get tickets for the Murray - v - Federer final. Wow ! It was fantastic. What an experience. All VERY expensive though. Just as well it was a once in a lifetime experience.
