Does anyone know (very) approximately how much it would cost for the external paintwork of my house to be done? It's a two bedroom semi with seven windows (two are double) and three doorways. I don't want to waste a decorator's time by asking for a quote if its completely out of the question.

It depends on many things - the area you live in, the quality of the materials used, the weather (that affects the time taken)....Always make sure you get quotes from at least THREE firms for any job like this.
