Morning all
I phoned Sky this morning to cancel the movie channels as i will be putting the sports channels back on in August (around about the 15th), i was told that i cannot do this if i want to put the sports channels on in August as you cannot make 2 changes within a month. How typical of Sky to do this. That means that on the 15th August when i cancel the movies and put the sports back on i will still have to pay for a further 30 days of movies. They tried to get me to have the Sky World at £62.50. She said "oh it's not much more than your paying now" well im sorry but £62.50 is a lot of money to pay for movie channels that are not exactly blockbusters. Im deviating from my original question, is what they are saying correct, i know that you cannot change from sports 1 to sports 2 until 31 days are up but i did not know it meant the movies as well

they can do what they like administratively.

Just phone up and cancel, then they'll connect you to the customer retention team who will do what you want. The initial lot have restrictions on what they can do.

This happens all the time, not just sky, my standard answer is, ok "close the account then", then they tranfer you to the CRT and bingo, you will find that you can converse with someone with and IQ slightly larger than a sprout, good luck!
I do the above on a regular basis......works wonders for my bank account!
I phoned last week to cancel Movies for my Mum and they offered a discount, I said I would think about it. Phoned the next day and they offered a bigger discount!! I still cancelled though. But it just goes to show.
