So sorry to read about the death of Angharad Rees at the age of 63. Loved her as Demelza in Podark. RIP Angharad.

It was pancreatic cancer.

I saw this on the news this morning .Very sad .She had pancreatic cancer. She was brilliant as Demelza .I loved Poldark .

She was married to the blonde actor, forgot his name, christopher casanove maybe? I still have all my Poldak memorabillia, read all the books in my early 20s before I got married and adored the early series of Poldark. Robin Ellis was amazing. but 63? just 6 years older than me, it's tragic.

So sad. Christopher Cazanove has also passed away. Both very young by standards. Their eldest child died at 26 in a car accident in the 90's which is very tragic.

I'll never forget Poldark...............my favourite line, delivered by Angharad has always been "I'll take em off for a shilling!".
