Christening gift help please

Something classy but unusual for a boy please. Up to £40. Not a hip flask, hair & tooth boxes (!), birth cerificate box etc. I know it's difficult but ABers are the people who have all the good ideas.

You dont say how old the child is , a silver (plated) rattle is traditional for a baby

How about a silver money box shaped like a train etc? It really should be something to keep. If the family are religeous (!!?) a bible.

Got my grandsons newspapers from the day they were born. Be good to look back on in coming years. Have also given a "first" bible as a gift.

My favourite was given to my eldest, He's in his thirties now. It was a piece of crystal in the shape of a book, about 2.5" x 1.5" x 1". It was engraved 'The World is your Oyster'. He still has it!
I think I saw it, or something very similar, in a John Lewis store recently.
