I seemed to have lost the icon from the taskbar, the twwo little screens, how to get them back/

Start by saying which version of windows.

Right click on the task bar, select properties, click the notification tab, tick the network connection icon and click OK.

The network and volume are greyed out.

Try it via notification area icons in the control panel instead.
