Indeed TTG. Saw DP about 15 years ago. Awesome keyboard solo.
Yes indeed. There was a thread on this earlier. Extremely sad. He was only 71. Nobody could make a Hammond organ sound like a dirty Strat in quite the way that Jon could, and his solo in Highway Star remains a personal inspiration...
Yesterday I was having a day out with a friend who is a real music fan. We were asking ourselves why music people die quite young. Lo and behold, another one has gone today.
That is sad, may he rest in peace
Hardly "quite young", but still a huge loss. I have so many happy memories of having seen him live.

A good mate of mine told me that he had no recollection of being at the première of the Concerto for Group and Orchestra at The Albert Hall in 1969 until he got the DVD in 2002 and spotted himself in the audience! As Mary Hopkin might have said...
One of the greatest at his art.
