happily leave him be for the moment, no stalkers please, unless you have millions in the bank, own several pubs and don't mind an old bird with a penchant for talking too much.
Morning Howard, I think we're supposed to be OK across the central belt today, but tomorrow is forecast for, surprise, rain.
Morning to all of you - showers here running through already.......yeuck.

More yeuck today as we are having to tackle a freezer with old food on it that has been in there fifteen years(?) and turned off. Its amazing it hasn't petrified.

So I am up out and about here early. Plumber is also due to finish his work but at least the water is back on minus the kitchen sink cold.

The reason we have "discovered" this is we had to move a mountain of jars, bottles, you name it, to get into the larder.......absolutely awful and worthy of a Beeb programme. I hate to say it of my mother but she almost has some OCD in reverse to the cleaning excesses many of them demonstrate.

One thing I am trying is to see if the freezer still works as if we can freeze it down or at least chill it, it will make the handling cleaner. I have long rubber gloves, facemasks with charcoal, black bags and even heavy garden bags to take the black bags at the ready.......The freezer has just gone on as I can't risk it going bang/up in flames in the middle of the night

If you hear of a Bard in Cornwall submerged by rotten food in the next 24 hours, you know who!

I am not religious at all but "Christ" on this one.
I can do the last one EM, quite happily, we could sit in the corner of a pub and natter for ages. x
Good grieef DT, good morning x

I don't like to ask, but has Mater done to inflict this on you and your sis?
but what has *
morning all am i dreaming its a beautiful sunny morning here in Kent...!
Good question, alba - she has always been a "me me me" despite having four kids - being an only child I think. The old man died over 20 years ago of cancer.

We got a t-y the other day but usually it is "Oh I'll just die....." (what the French terml "Le Cinema" - it's a rather good expression).
just tell her, one day she'll get her wish!!!
I've a SIL who's an only child. She didn't 'get' her husband (one of my brothers) and his siblings getting on with each other. Weird woman.
I think that there is often an element of selfishness. See it a little in my bro in law who was also single.

Good luck DT brings back memories of doing the same for my lovely mother in law. Some of the freezer contents would have interested the Natural History museum

Must go, have a good day xx
take care Sheena xxx

When we had family gatherings (in the days when they were alive) she was , er, uncomfortable. I think your right, about the element of selfishness.
well I must be flying too.....cheques etc to cut for her re the plumber et al.
Hope your day goes well DT x
good luck DT I dont envy you one little bit, but once the job is over and done you will be so relieved that you will never ever have to face it again.
May you be rewarded in heaven [one of my gran's sayings !].
Blue sky and sun here(for now!)
Morning all, have a guess what the weather is like here.........lol
DT, want to swap napalming domestic appliances for my meeting today? At least I would feel I was getting somewhere with the freezer!
