So the new edition of Runner's World

(I wonder about the punctuation there!)

... is called the "Special Beginners Issue"

(I wonder about the punctuation there, too!)

But would this be a good opportunity to start a bit of running this summer?

Go and grab a copy. I got mine from the gym, but lots of newsagents sell it ... like WH Smith.

I'd put up with muscly calfs if it meant I was skiing every weekend LOL. My reasons for not wanting muscly calfs are entirely fickle - I don't want to give up the knee high boots if I'm too big for them to zip up LOL

Good reason x
Honourable aches and pains dr b. Fell running did for mine but neoprene strapping helps. Wouldn't care much for a treadmill as my run has views to die for, which might be prophetic lol.
Hi JJ, I'm still running. Up to 6miles a session now. Still not much faster than 10min miles. But know I will improve over time.

Way to go, tenrec x

I wouldn't try to run faster than 10 mins / mile.

If you do, you get moved up out of my class, into Lakitu's Advanced Group.
I've also started pilates, which is really good fun, and good for me too.
JJ what is WSOP?
Question Author
Yes, Pilates is very good.
I could probably do a five-day mile, if I had to; but I won't.

Does that make you feel any better?
tenrec, World Series of Poker. (or possibily of Pilates, in your case.)
