Sorry to be picky, but you said (twice) that you did your daughter's research for her and that YOU have learnt a lot. You may well be a good mother but you are not doing your daughter any favours by doing her homework for her.
Do reserch for her / help do research with her could be along the same lines, I teach my son my showing him, he doesn't go on google himself, and I have also learnt a few things (just because the idea is you do the homework with them they are still learning it too)... my friends 5 year old was set homework that took 3 adults an hour to solve! But then we explained it to her so she understood (we are intelligent people it was an odd science question for a 5 year old! I wouldn't have been suprised if only a few of them went back to school with that one completed!) We all do homework with our children from the day they are born we are showing and teaching them so it is no different when they go to school the majority of what they learn will be from home. Also its a good way to interact with your child.
ok. come back and tell us all about it when your daughter is 19 and can't or won't get a job because none of them are nice or fun, and so expects you to fund her life for her...

being a good parent does not mean doing everything for them to make them happy - because ultimately they wont be - it means giving them the ability and tools to do things for themselves - especially when you are no longer around.
lack of confidence in themselves in later life can be crippling and holds people back.
