Avoid all of them. I got one for christmas 4 years ago - it cost my sister a fortune. I've used it three times. I don't drink milky coffee or expresso and I prefer coffee made in a cafetiere to the filter machine. All it does is gather dust on the kitchen worktop.

So... unless you're sure that the recipient will use it, don't waste your money.

I'm pretty sure he'll use it, but i guess it depends on how easy it is and how much cleaning it requires...thanks tho, i'll drop it in conversation a bit more and see.

You would need to spend a lot of money to get a machine that won't let you down as ursula62 says.

A better present for a real coffee lover can be a good grinder and a good cafetiere. Then they can grind their own beans freshly - mmmmmmmmm!!!

Only prob there is that you need to spend quite a bit to get a decent grinder too!
