I saw a comment by Murraymints earlier about the choas caused by the Tram line work in Edinburgh.

I would like to come up to the festival in August, I have done it twice before but is it so bad that its worth avoiding this year?

They must of finished Princes Street by now?

Princes Street will never be finished till they get rid of that castle.
I live in Edinburgh and it seems to be getting worse! There doesn't seem to be an end in sight sadly. Please don't let it put you off coming for the festival though. Taxis can still get about and you can walk almost everywhere.

Thanks Vodka. Love the Festival, love Edinburgh, last time I went (2 years ago) Princes St was more like an assault course than a street.

I shall check availability
Was in Edinburgh yesterday Davethedog, Princes Street is still the same however news last night Reporting Scotland said it was due to be finished by the end of this month.

Festival is fantastic !
I believe the work on Princes Street will finish at the end of this month.
Sorry LNM - missed your entry.
