Is it just me who's driven to distraction by people who say, for example, "3am in the morning"? When else can 3am be? I've heard it used several times in the media during the last week by people who should know better. Makes my teeth grind! That's better - glad that's off my chest!

I used to work wi the wife of an ex-soldier. She would send e-mails to us about meetings at 14.00 p.m. I'm not sure she grasped the point of the 24-hour clock......

I always use the 24 clock. I usually say 16:00, or for people who can't be bothered to work that out, I say 4:00pm!

I did a payroll for people on day/night shift & it's something you get used to over the years.

I only put that time in as a for instance - but look at the time. Amazing how one gets carried away with time!

I loathe it when people say things like 'commencing to start'. Also, why do some people stick the word 'already' at the end of their sentences? (as in 'shut up, already')
Sorry buddy, I thinnk its just you getting all shook up ! 3am in the afternoon aint got the same kinda ring to it keep taking the tablets.
I, myself, am not bothered by it.

i agree, narolines - dunno why, but that bugs me as well.

It infuriates me also.

Especially in the Sally Oldfield song 'Moonlight Shadow' - one of the lines is "4 am in the morning..." - durr!!
