Realistically what is the chance of becoming pregnant whilst on the Mirena Coil? I'm 12 days late but am 48 years of age so the likelihood of being pregnant is slim. Boobs are on fire with pain though but just thought I ask ABers before rushing out to buy a pregnancy test!

I had a Mirena coil and my periods died down to nothing. When they stopped altogether I was menopausal. In all likelihood, given your age, that is the answer. I suggest seeing your doctor. The coil might skew blood test results, depending on how long you've had it in, but he/she can tell you what is the most likely case.
would have o agree - much more likely to be peri-menopausal symptoms

Thank you Bambiagain your comments are very helpful...............x
You're welcome.
I never saw a period when I had this coil fitted.
you can get a blood test to tell you 'how' menopausal you are!
Extremely unlikely that you are pregnant.

"Rush out" and buy a pregnancy test and that will tell you definitely.
Most likley to be the beginning of less regular peirods which will probably stop altogether in a couple of years time.
