My Partner and I are looking for a suitable place to spend 3/4 weeks (or two bargain bucket fortnight breaks)in October/November. We are sunseekers but don't fancy a very long flight his time. We are both well over 70 but quite adventurous and equally happy self catering or all inclusive but don't want to spend too much as we have nother holiday booked in January. Any suggestions would be welcome We are going to Tenerife in january so want somewhere else in the autumn

i got back this week from a week in the costa-brava, all inclusive.

only a two hour flight from birmingham (perhaps shorter from a london airport)
Malta....lots to see and do and very Brit-friendly.
went to malta for two weeks last year.

spent three years living there as a child, so much had changed in 40 years, it was nice to go back there.
i go gran canaria every year bout that time weather has neva let me down stop at eugenia victoria playa del ingles
Morocco. Not as far away as you might think. Lots to do.
Define sunseeker. I'd class myself as a sunseeker so wouldn't go anywhere near Spain or the western Med in October/November. I'd want 25 plus guaranteed. Is this what you want? Cyprus is maybe still warmish then and so's Sharm etc.
Hello, If you don't want to fly too far how about Malta / Marrakech or even Turkey. You could have a look through our travel pages for further ideas at www.theretirementcentre.com/travel

Kind regards
