Norton internet security

I have problems turning the intrusion detection on. It shows a message "failed to save setting. Please verify your windows account is not restricting. My windows account is on administrator, so I should allow to change the options and on the norton is on the supervisor account.

Any ideas?

I'm having difficulty getting links to work (maybe port a thread) but Google for 'norton failed to save setting' and open the Symantec link.
