No Flower not wrong but some of them have loads of calories in them, just be careful what you buy to get the best out of it.
No need to panic.....but go "easy" on the 3 litres until a definitive diagnosis is made based on kidney function tests (blood tests)

Dont get "hung up" if you can't get 3 litres a day down.
just look out for the added sugar.. and if you really are struggling to drink make up sachets of sugar free jelly and have a couple of servings of that a day, also make up some squash as icecubes and suck them or blend your flavoured waters with ice to make slushpuppy type drinks
It does get easier Tamirra. You'll start to notice the more you drink the thirstier you get. Once your body gets used to it.

No blood tests are being done Sqad.
Right.
They might do if you haven't improved by next week and have paid heed to their advice.

Thank you for all your suggestions.x
I was going to suggest ice lollies/pops and straws too.

I drink loads, pretty much always got a drink with me save out and about. I use pint glasses at home (look away now Sqad!!!) to drink sugar free cordial and water and always have a cordial on hand at work, can't be doing with smaller glasses as I drink it too quick.

It does seem to be a massive immediate step up if you hardly drink now and any extra you can drink it good to build up to getting and staying better hydrated.

Do you like any herbal/fruit teas or green tea? Hot water with a slice of lemon is meant to be good for you too.

I love chicken noodle simmer soup too, lots of water in that. You could try cup a soups too.
The protein can denote a kidney problem. You are quite dehydrated from the sound of it.
Due to kidney problems, I also have to drink a lot of fluids. I take it in half pints at a time, which are far more manageable. I buy a lot of squash too, to make it more palatable.
I like my water with malt and hops in it lol.
I am probably too late to say this and I thoroughly agree with sqad when he says don't get hung up if you can't drink the whole three litres, but how on earth can anyone just drink one cup of tea in the morning. I would be passing out by ten o'clock if I couldn't have some more liquid of some kind.
Water is much easier to get down in volume if you take it with food. Get into te habit of putting a big jug of cold water on the table at meal times.
Contrary to what you have been told, weak tea and coffee do count as part of your liquid intake. By weak I mean normal strength instant or brewed but not espresso OT stewed builders' tea.
Plenty of suggestions tamirra, but if you really do drink that little a day you are seriously dehydrated and your kidney problems will get much worse if it continues. You really do need to make a serious effort to drink more fluid.
I drink all through the day, I find it helps if you dilute with a favourite squash, after a couple of days you will find it easier to drink more. Its like anything, the more you do it the easier it gets.
I drink from water bottles and find that I get through them very easily. I drink about half a litre in the morning, getting ready. Another litre at work, sometimes one and a half and then I drink a lot at nights as well.

Be careful though. You can drink too much water. My mum actually had to take me to the doctors because I was drinking too much :| I could easilly get through about 8 litres a day at that point.
