Hi there.
I would like to know more about Edinburgh, because i`m thinking to move there in the near future. I would like to know which areas are nice and quiet to live, because i`m not driving, i cant move very, very far away from town center and because i can go on right move or gumtree to look for the rent, i would prefer to found up from people that live there how much the rent it will be for 1/2 bedroom house.
Because i have a cat and i`m planning to buy a puppy as well how hard it is to find a property. Thank you very much!

Nikkolee, if you are out there, I'm sorry I haven't been able to get back to you before now, family crisis I'm afraid - sorted now.
The flat I mentioned is only going to be for rental for a very short time as the owner actually wants to sell having moved to France. I apologise if I misled you I was under the impression that it was for a really long rental and that he...

I think that you'll find nice, quiet areas of Edinburgh very expensive to rent. I would have a look at Property Centre website to get some idea of what you might pay. I'm in Dundee and there's no way I could afford to live in our capital city. One bedroom flat would cost more than my three bed semi.
nikkolee, I thought you were looking for something in Birmingham?
How do you thik the cat and the puppy will get on with the nocturnal bird of prey?
LOL, It's a long commute to Brum.
Lots of nice areas - it's a very walkable city so don't worry about the town centre. Rent for 2 bedroom flat will be about £700 - 800 pcm. There are a lot of students so rents high.
Excellent bus service and plenty of green area all over the place so pets not a problem.
Is it in Morningside that you'd find the creme de la creme?
If you are serious, I may know of a flat available in the Easter road area of Edinburgh, not sure of it's size as it belongs to the brother of a friend and he is about to put it on the rental market - I was supposed to be there today to take the pictures but due to unforseen family circumstances I couldn't do the job. So if you think you might be genuinely interested leave a message here and we can take it from there.

This is the website of the local bus company.

@maggiebee My bro lives in Dundee( very funny stories about Dundee world indeed :)) ) i know that i can found cheap rent there, but i think the city it is a bit low in jobs opportunities. We are looking to move from Birmingham ( i don`t like it at all, it is an ugly city) in Scotland, because i love everything that it is Scottish, and I am in on the point that i'll take in mind every opportunity.

The flat I mentioned is only going to be for rental for a very short time as the owner actually wants to sell having moved to France. I apologise if I misled you I was under the impression that it was for a really long rental and that he wanted to hold on to it. Again I can only apologise for my error, and wish you luck in your search. Edinburgh isn't such a big city and is easy to get around on foot, with plenty of green spaces to walk a puppy and a good bus system so try not to limit yourself to the city centre only
