A dry start to the day here in the eastern shires.

Either a shopping trip to Nottingham with the OH or a trip to Grimsby to grandson sit for a porly 11 yr old. Think I'd prefer the latter.

Thanks for getting me thinking about the garden - we'll bob down to Costco for a tray of chicken thighs and the usual goodies for a barbie, then over to Willowpool, which has one of the top 10 tearooms in the country - getting there before the ladies who munch, then spend the rest of the day mooching in the garden.

Mrs V has spent £70 at Bent's on flowers for hanging baskets - red white & blue,,naturally, with Union Jack plastic sheet liners.

Does anyone love Bent's as much as Mrs V? http://www.bents.co.uk/

No flowers on the borage yet, but that won't stop us enjoying a Pimms or three.

So this is what you all get up to in the morning. Not an early bird but a telephone call wakened me at 7.15 and the sun is shining so just stayed up.

Off to Meadowhall..Shopping Center with Mrs C....the only blot on the horizon ?....Shoes/handbags/clothes.....might get a Greggs coffee and soss roll if I've owt left!

good morning everyone. hope you all have a lovely day whatever you do. it is a bit misty here in the south west today. hoping it will clear up later for those that want it. not being a party pooper but this way it is cooloer to work in the garden.
