How would you pronounce this? To rhyme with 'freckles' or as 'dee' (as in river) plus 'cals' (to rhyme with pals)?

I'm a freckles person
Dee cals here.
I have never used the word but according to Chambers both pronunciations are acceptable though it lists deecal first.
Looking on dictionary sites it's DEE CALS but I have always said DECALS as in "freckles"
I worked in promotional advertising - marking all manner of products with a logo - and the whole industry used - decal/freckle style
Merriam-Webster online's audio says di-KAL (the di as a very short 'dee' ) . So that's how Americans generally say the American for 'transfer'!
