Spose I'm not allowed to disagree with you now just incase lol
They did it beautifully.
I blubbed when I heard her voice at the end :o(
It was moving, yes, but I thought it was ridiculous how not one of the old characters came back for the funeral.
Gordon, her son did. I heard many were coming back. They didn't materialise though.
yes it was disappointing not to see old members of the cast but presumably they'd have difficulty explaining why some made it and others didn't ?
or even sally webster not attending either funeral or recption
I read that at least Hilda Ogden was coming back - wonder what happened? It was all very moving though and I enjoyed it, very well done.
and i do believe that some of the tears were genuine
Also wasnt our Gordon married and had children - no sign of them at the funeral but typical Corrie at the moment forgetting their viewers have memories
It was extra touching as the actors/actresses were actually grieving for Betty Driver the actress who had been their friend and colleague for many years. Sad she went so quickly, she always looked so well into her 90s I hoped she would make her 100th birthday in the Rovers!
I thought they were going to bring back some past characters for Betty's
funeral. Are the ITV doing a programme in her memory?
