No, I kid you not, there really is one!

My friend, who's on holiday for a couple of days has just texted me to say she's off to a Pencil museum, and my immediate thought was "My God...why?"

Can you imagine a more boring place to visit? Would the conversations in there go something like "ooo look, there's a pencil" shuffle a few steps "there's another" shuffle a few more steps "ahhh but look, an OLD pencil!"?

In case anyone REALLY fancies going, and again...why? This is it!

Down on the front here, there's a museum of fishing.

That's not boring in itself, especially as it's right on the beach. But ...

... it's about the size of your sitting room. It just has like a boat, and a net, and a pair of those long wellies.

Of course ...a must visit site
The next time I'm in the states I'll be sure to check out this place.

Visit one of North Devon 's family run attractions a fun day out for the whole family.

For a completely unique 100% fun experience, simultaneously 100% ecologically interesting, with an extra 100% wonder and magic mixed in, visit The Gnome Reserve.

Set amid truly rural countryside between Bideford and Bude just 7 miles from the Devon Cornwall border. the 4 acre Reserve comprises woodland, stream, 30 yard pond, meadow and garden - home to 1000+ gnomes and pixies, and about 250 labelled species of wild flowers, herbs, grasses and ferns.

Gnome hats are loaned free of charge together with fishing rods, so you don't embarrass the gnomes! Take your cameras and embarrass the family with some truly memorable photos for the family album!

I've been to that pencil museum, but only because it was raining and there was nothing else to do - it wasn't that bad, honest !
Boo - build a museum of anything in the Lake District and charge entry for it, and when it rains , if it is under cover, they will come.

What do you mean "when in rains"? It's The Lakes, it always rains there ;-)
Buy a building and paint the walls in different white paint every morning and open the 'watching paint dry centre'.... it will be a massive success... you will probably get lottery funding
Boo.....exactickerly
