remember this is edited. They have more time than it seems and I'm sure they get help if they need it. Obviously some are better than others at word games.

I've always assumed they get help through the earphones and maybe a team on PCs and Internet nearby. Or am I just being cynical ?

I agree about editing. When I used to watch it Carol Vorderman clearly had a lot more than 30 seconds to work out the maths.
